The state aid scheme – Support for IMMs (small and medium enterprises in order to overcome the economic crisis generated by the COVID-19 pandemic was approved by Order no. 1.060/2.857/2020, published in the Official Gazette, Part I, no. 835 of September 11, 2020.

Action 3.1.1. Support for IMMs to overcome the economic crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic
Form of state aid:
- a) micro-grants in a fixed amount for working capital, for the resumption of the current activity in the form of a lump sum;
- b) grants for working capital, for the resumption of current activity, in the form of a lump sum;
- c) grants for investments in productive activities;
within the meaning of the provisions of Regulation (EU) no. 1.301 / 2013, amended by Regulation (EU) no. 460/2020 (Article 67 (1) letter (a) and (c) E
Scheme duration:
The scheme applies from the date of publication in the Official Gazette of Romania, Part I, respectively September 11, until December 31, 2020. Beneficiaries of state aid must submit a funding application by October 30, 2020, and the conclusion of contracts for funding must be made by 31 December 2020.
In order to benefit from the funds granted under the state scheme, the beneficiaries must meet both the general eligibility conditions and the conditions specific to each form of state aid, as provided for in the order. The order also stipulates the budget for each scheme and the maximum amounts that can be granted to each beneficiary, as well as the categories of goods and services that can be purchased under each state aid scheme.
According to the statements of the Minister of European Funds, after signing the financing contract with MFE, MEEMA will launch together with the Special Telecommunications Service the platform in which IMMs will register in order to submit projects. The way in which the Romanian entrepreneurs will have access to the European financing will be communicated in the next time interval also by MEEMA, as administrator of the state aid scheme.
