According to the Emergency Ordinance no. 39/2021, this year, between February and July, the census of the population and housing in Romania will take place.
Emergency Ordinance no. 19/2020 provides the following:
Employees who self-register via the Internet are entitled to a day off, paid, in order to encourage the preferred use of this method.
Proof of online self-review is achieved by presenting the code to confirm the successful completion of the self-review.
The confirmation code for the successful completion of the self-review is automatically generated by the functional IT solution on the census site for each individual form successfully submitted to the census database.
The employers of the persons who prove the online self-review have the obligation to grant them the day off, paid, on a date established by mutual agreement with the entitled persons.
Paid leave is granted within a maximum of 12 months from the date of successful completion of the self-review.
One paid day off is granted to an employee, regardless of whether he or she has completed the online self-review for himself or herself and other household members, or for others.
