The Ministry of Finance (MF) launched in public consultation, on June 18, 2021, the draft Order for the approval of the Accounting Reporting System on June 30, 2021 of the economic operators.
Through this document, it is proposed that the accounting reporting system on June 30, 2021 be applied to economic operators that in the previous financial year recorded a net turnover higher than the RON equivalent of 1,000,000 euros.
According to the Report approving the normative act, for the preparation of accounting reports on June 30, 2021, the inclusion in the mentioned criterion is performed based on the indicators determined from the annual financial statements of the previous financial year, respectively the verification balance concluded at the end of the previous financial year. exchange rate communicated by the National Bank of Romania (BNR), valid at the end of the previous financial year.

It is very important to specify that the entities that did not carry out activity from the date of establishment until June 30, 2021, those that in the first semester of 2021 were in temporary inactivity, those established during 2021, as well as persons legal entities that are being liquidated, according to the law, do not prepare accounting reports as of June 30, 2021.
The information contained in the accounting reports is based on the accounting regulations applicable to each category of economic operators, respectively the Accounting Regulations on individual annual financial statements and consolidated annual financial statements, approved by Order of the Minister of Public Finance no. 1802/2014, as subsequently amended or supplemented. accounting in accordance with the International Financial Reporting Standards, approved by the Order of the Minister of Public Finance no. 2844/2016, with subsequent amendments and completions.
The accounting reports on June 30, 2021 are to be submitted to the territorial units of the Ministry of Finance by August 16, 2021 at the latest.
