On Wednesday, October 28, 2020, at 20.00, the registration stage within measure 2 “Grants for working capital” within the state aid scheme established by Emergency Ordinance no. 130 of 31 July 2020 on some measures for the granting of financial support from non-reimbursable external funds, related to the Competitiveness Operational Program 2014-2020, in the context of the crisis caused by COVID-19
22.226 applicants registered, the counties from which the most applications came were Bucharest (18.68%), Cluj (8.83%), Constanța (4.64%), Bihor (4.53%) , Iaşi (3.97%), Brașov (3.96%), Timiș (3.67%), Suceava (3.53%), Argeș (3.50%) and Ilfov (3.27%).
22.063 applications were submitted by Small and Medium Enterprises (IMM) while 163 applications were submitted by education Non-governmental organization (ONG).
17,590 requests were sent from urban areas, and 4.636 from rural areas.
Virgil Popescu, Minister of Economy, Energy and Business Environment announced that he is considering supplementing the budget allocated to this measure, but also the reopening of the call for access to microgrants of 2,000 Euros, for which only 29.250 applications were submitted, the estimated number of beneficiaries being 50,000.
,, “Following the great interest in accessing the grants allocated to working capital, we analyze the supplementation of the budget allocated to this measure by approximately 500 million euros. We will also reopen the call for access to the 2000 euro micro-grants and analyze the lowering of the ceiling for companies that were set up in 2019 and could not reach a turnover of 5,000 euros. It is important for me that as many SMEs as possible can benefit from these non-reimbursable funds “, declared the Minister of Economy, Energy and Business Environment.
