By Law no. 101/2021, which entered into force on April 30, 2021, was reintroduced the obligation to submit the declaration on real beneficiaries. According to the new law, companies in Romania will eventually have to submit annually the statement on real beneficiaries, within 15 days of the approval of the financial statements, after in 2020 this obligation has been eliminated. At the same time, including firms consisting exclusively of individual associates will have to submit the statement.
Recently, however, due to the agitation wave generated among the companies in the multitude of legislative amendments, in the Official Gazette (MOF) 561 of 31.05.2021, the Emergency Ordinance (OUG) 43/2021, which is postponed for the deposition of the declaration on real beneficiaries until on 1 October 2021.
